Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee night shift operations at a large food distribution center in Bloomfield, CT. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient warehouse operations, maintaining productivity standards, and leading a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all night shift warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of food products
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and warehouse staff to meet performance goals
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, company policies, and OSHA regulations
- Monitor daily operations to ensure productivity, accuracy, and efficiency targets are met
- Coordinate with day shift leadership to ensure seamless operational transitions
- Analyze KPIs, identify areas for improvement, and implement process enhancements
- Maintain inventory accuracy and oversee proper handling of perishable goods
- Address operational challenges and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner
Requirements:
- Must have prior experience in a food distribution center (DC) environment
- Proven leadership experience in warehouse or distribution operations
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to manage teams in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Flexibility to work night shift hours consistently
